Ben founded Architecture of London in 2009 and has designed a number of widely published and award winning projects. He is a PHI Certified Passivhaus Designer with significant technical expertise in the design of low energy buildings. Ben studied architecture at ULC in London, where he graduated with 1st class honours and distinctions. He has received a number of awards fr his work including the Sir Andrew Taylor Environmental Design Prize, the Ambrose Poynter prize for distinguished work and the Leverhulme Trust Bursary for expertise and originality in architecture.
John is a structural engineer living in West London. He founded the practice on Notting Hill Gate in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea as he has happy memories of working there on the High Commission of Pakistan, on Ovo Energy’s offices and on a large residential building near Chelsea Old Town Hall.His practice provides structural engineering consulting with three particular focuses Residential, Carbon Zero and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). They are predominantly focused on RBKC and central London but also support collaborators elsewhere.He have a holistic experience of construction having also worked as client, architect and contractor. He approaches each project by listening and seeking to understand the client’s requirements and provide solutions to help them achieve their goals. He is proactive at searching out risks and opportunities to help the project run smoothly.His business philosophy has been influenced by his time spent in Germany studying engineering. He was impressed by how they focus on sustainability and creating a pleasant environment to live in. He learnt about their engineering businesses which are built to last and are often passed down the generations. He saw how they lead the world by investing in research, in their products and in good customer service.
Guen is Head of Research at the Institute of Business Ethics (IBE). She writes and researches on a wide range of business ethics topics at the IBE. As part of her role, she is responsible for advising organisations on different aspects of their ethics programme and she has developed and delivered ethics training to different audiences. Before joining the IBE, Guen collaborated with the inter-university centre for business ethics and corporate responsibility EconomEtica in developing the code of ethics for the Italian Association of Management Consultants and worked for CSR Europe, a European CSR Business Network based in Brussels. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Ethics and CSR from the University of Trento in Italy.
