ICAEW CPD Regulations are changing. From 1 November 2023, members and other professionals regulated by ICAEW will need to complete a minimum number of hours' CPD per year, some of which will need to be verifiable. Karen Finlayson, Lead Client Partner for NHS National Bodies, PwCKaren leads the teams who provide support to and work with NHS National Bodies across England. Karen is also a member of the PwC UK Supervisory Board, Karen is an expert in governance, risk, compliance, assurance and controls and has led a number of large and challenging engagements across government and health industries.
Karen has worked with PwC for over 25 years and has over 20 years’ experience of working in the healthcare sector with organisations such as the Department for Health and Social Care and all of its Arm’s Length Bodies and regulators. She has worked across the broader health and social care ecosystem with healthcare and social care providers and Integrated Care Boards.
Angela Appiah Shippey, Director, Global Business Services & Outsourcing, BDOAngela qualified with Arthur Andersen in 1998 and then spent 20 years working in industry across various sectors including advertising and PR, legal services, banking, healthcare, and recruitment. In 2018 she moved back into practice and currently is a Director at BDO in the Global Business Services Team where she delivers and oversees outsourced finance solutions to multinational clients.
Griselda Togobo MPhil, ACA, CEO, ForwardLadies.comGriselda is an international corporate consultant. She is also a multi-faceted entrepreneur, engineer, and chartered accountant. Her experience as a black woman in the corporate world drives her to help progressive global companies create inclusive workplaces. She works directly with CEOs and business leaders to embed a culture of inclusion at the heart of their talent strategy.
She graduated from Cambridge University with an MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management. Before becoming an entrepreneur, she was a management consultant at Deloitte LLP. Griselda is passionate about advancing girls into Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths sectors and supports female leaders through forwardladies.com.
Ololade Adesanya FCA (Chair), Director, Risk Advisory and Financial Services Controls Advisory Lead, DeloitteOlolade Adesanya is a Director in Deloitte’s Risk Advisory practice and Financial Services Controls Advisory Lead. Ololade has over 16 years’ experience working with firms in the Financial Services industry providing assurance and advisory services around governance, risks and controls.
Ololade is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW and was the President of the ICAEW West of England from 2022 to 2023. Ololade sits on the Board of the University of Bristol and Chairs the Audit and Risk Committee for the university. She is passionate about driving diversity and inclusion in professional services and the accountancy profession and has spearheaded several initiatives on the agenda.
